Dave Carroll: A master storyteller in music, Dave Carroll’s United Breaks Guitars went viral on You Tube, now with many millions of hits. The music video won the 2009 Nova Scotia Music Awards: Digital Artist of the Year and Video of the Year.  Prior to the international media firestorm (including the likes of CNN, the LA Times, Chicago Tribune, Rolling Stone Magazine & the BBC to name a few), this gifted singer-songwriter was already highly accomplished with the band, Sons of Maxwell, having released over 40 original songs on their eight CDs. Dave has received multiple nominations and awards including the 2008 Nova Scotia Music Award (MNS) for Inspirational Recording of the Year, nominations for the 2009 ECMA Male Solo Recording, 2009 ECMA Pop Recording of the Year and the 2008 Canadian Folk Music Award nomination for Contemporary Singer of the Year. He has also been nominated for the prestigious 2010 ECMA Entertainer of the Year. Dave recently released his solo album; Perfect Blue and his beautiful ballad now, took first place in the Unisong International, UK Contest and was a finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Dave has toured Canada, the US, Europe and China.


Ian Sherwood: An international award winning songwriter, Ian infuses his catchy melodies and contemplative lyrics with ntricate guitar playing, saxophones and pop/rock grooves to produce contemporary song styles from pop to jazz. Hs album Art Of Conversation, was nominated for two 2008 ECMA’s (Pop Album of the Year, CBC Galaxie Rising Star Album of the Year). Ian won the grand prize in the 2007 West Coast songwriter’s Association out of California and was a semi-finalist in the 2006 International Songwriting Competition. He received nominations for Nova Scotia Music Week 2006 Pop/Rock Recording of the Year, Toronto Independent Music Awards 2006 Best Out Of Area Act and was named Featured Album of the Week by CBC Radio One’s Freestyle. A gifted musician, Ian’s energetic stage show and honest presentation makes him equally at home in front of a large audience or a quiet house concert. When not touring and performing, Ian is busy with writing excursions to Nashville.


Chelsea Nisbett: This refreshing young talent offers a new infusion of sound blending a wide spectrum of musical influences including acoustic rock, rhythm/blues and soul with her multi-cultural background and soul-touching lyrics. Her debut CD /New
Beginnings* */has been honoured with three awards including the 2008 ECMA for Gospel Recording of the Year. She has also received five additional nominations. Her music receives airplay on various radio stations across North America. Chelsea has just released her latest album entitled Anchored Roots which is now available online and in select stores.

Kim Wempe: An evocative artistic style, emotional lyrics and honest performance set the stage for this powerful singer/songwriter’s audience. She has shared the spotlight with Maritime favorite’s Jill Barber, Ryan Cook, Charlie A’Court and CoCo Love Alcorn while performing across the country from Evolve, Nova Scotia to Morfee Mountain, BC. Kim received the Music Nova Scotia Award for best folk artist of the year and two ECMA nominations for this year.

Carmel Mikol: Cape Breton born singer/songwriter Carmel Mikol is a storyteller, crafting songs with a provocative blend of truth, fiction and wit. The title track of her new album “In My Bones” won First Place in the folk category of the Great American Song Contest. The single “Blaming Myself” rose to #1 on the nationally syndicated East Coast Countdown and :Sunny Days” took first place in the folk category of the ISSA Song Contest. Carmel has toured extensively in Canada and the US. In 2010 she will appear at some of Nova Scotia's premier festivals including the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival and the Deep Roots Music Festival.

Michael Redden: Recently breaking into the music scene, Michael’s debut album Musical Chairs has hit the ground running having made it’s way to number three after several weeks in the top ten East Coast Countdown. With his plush velvet voice reminiscent of John Mayer this singer/songwriter has been winning the hearts of fans reflected in the sales of his CD at HMV and on line. Michael has also caught the attention of several industry executives.
